Steve Raabe has been conducting survey research since 1985. Steve specializes in relationship research, examining the strength of organizations' ties to their members, donors, customers, employees, or alumni, and always recommending ways to draw closer to those core constituencies.
Steve regularly conducts opinion and market research in donor behavior, community economic development, buying and shopping behavior, transportation, solid waste disposal and recycling, customer satisfaction, quality of life, health care, housing, education, utility deregulation, telecommunications, and a wide variety of public policy issues.
Steve directly oversees a large team of interviewers, statisticians, data analysts, and production staff. He is a sampling expert, known for developing stringent methodologies that will achieve the truest possible representation of the population surveyed.
He offers public hearing testimony as an expert witness on survey findings, often comments for the news media on public issues, and advises corporate and not-for-profit leaders on the best methods of strengthening their standing with the public or their customers.
Steve Raabe served on Capitol Hill as Director of Public Policy for Lutheran Services in America, the largest private human services network in the nation. For ten years he was Executive Vice President and Director of Research for Potomac Incorporated, a Maryland-based public affairs firm. Prior to that, he was field coordinator for the Maryland State Teachers Association, and has been an active volunteer and staffer for a number of political campaigns, including two stints as field staff for Presidential candidates.
