BETHESDA, MD - BCC & Associates is pleased to announce that Christine Owens has joined the firm as a Senior Associate. Ms. Owens has 30 years of broad-based experience in non-profit management and fundraising. She is a specialist in capital and annual campaigns, board and staff training, development and strategic planning. Ms. Owens will be a key member of the fundraising team at BCC.
Before coming to BCC, Ms. Owens was Director of Development at The Potomac School in McLean, VA where she managed a $50 million capital campaign as well as the annual giving and alumni relations programs.
Ms. Owens has also held senior staff positions at Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, Georgetown University, and The Catholic University of America. She is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia University teaching in the graduate program in Non-Profit Management.
Ms. Owens is a frequent panelist and presenter for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and other national, regional and local conferences.
Ms. Owens has served on several non-profit boards and is a co-founder of a women's shelter and founder of a teenage suicide prevention program in St. Louis.
Ms. Owens holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri.
