Fundraising has been described as both an art and a science. The "art" is dealing effectively with people, maximizing their potential to give and work for your organization, and devising plans and strategies that bring people closer to your organization -- ideally for a lifetime. The "science" is looking at the numbers, always keeping in mind that cost per dollar raised is a key element in fundraising and that asking for the right amount, from an adequate number of people, will ensure fundraising success.
BCC assists organizations in every aspect of the fundraising process -- from developing the bedrock annual giving program to launching a major capital drive. We work in the highly complex world of planned giving. We both help organizations start programs and provide technical assistance to back up mature programs.

Annual Giving and Major Gift Development
The annual fund is the bedrock of any development program as these gifts enable the organization to operate from day to day. Our prime objective is to make sure your program is operating effectively and efficiently.
Capital Campaign Planning and Execution
BCC provides consulting support for all facets of capital and endowment campaigns. We advise organizations on the strategic planning and needs assessment process and craft campaign case statements for our clients. In addition, we offer development and communications audits to assess campaign readiness and provide monthly counsel to organizations during both the quiet phase of a campaign and when a campaign is taken public.
Planned Giving
No organization can be without a planned giving program. This program is simple to start and maintain and bears tremendous fruit in the out years. BCC's planned giving experts will work with you to set up your program, advise you on policies and procedures, develop marketing materials, and provide technical assistance when needed.
Feasibility Studies
BCC senior associates have years of experience conducting feasibility studies to test the assumptions in the Case for Support and to identify and cultivate major donor prospects and friends.
Board Development
When it comes to fundraising, the board of directors is at the center of the non-profit enterprise, and we work with organizations to create boards that are comfortable identifying, cultivating and soliciting gifts. Services also include organizational assessments, proper recruitment of new board members, and training board members in the art of fundraising.
